Shared for everyone is that lovely sense of achievement that comes from seeing a loaf of bread you’ve just made rise in the oven. Or enjoying a glass of good wine with a meal you’ve just cooked, something that only yesterday seemed only a dream – if even that. Preparing a shared meal also brings people together, make fancy titles disappear and hierarchies fade. There’s always plenty to talk about as lovely memories of food come flooding into your mind.
